Announcements are helpful when you want to share something with students.  This would be a good place to share notes, study guides, or anything you don’t want to collect from students.

  1. Open a class
  2. Click on the plus sign in the circle in the bottom right hand corner
  3. Click Create announcement
    1. Announcements are for when you are letting your students know something without requiring a submission.
  4. Type the announcement
  5. Add a topic
  6. Attach any resources as needed
    1. You have the same options to attach files, youtube videos, Google drive documents, and/or links to web pages
    2. However, you can’t give students the options of getting their own copies, etc.  
  7. Finally, you can post the announcement right away, schedule it for later, or save it as a draft so you can edit it later.  Just click on the down arrow next to the Post button
    1. Schedule is not available if you are posting to more than one class.
