Announcements are helpful when you want to share something with students. This would be a good place to share notes, study guides, or anything you don’t want to collect from students.
- Open a class
- Click on the plus sign in the circle in the bottom right hand corner
- Click Create announcement
- Announcements are for when you are letting your students know something without requiring a submission.
- Type the announcement
- Add a topic
- Attach any resources as needed
- You have the same options to attach files, youtube videos, Google drive documents, and/or links to web pages
- However, you can’t give students the options of getting their own copies, etc.
- Finally, you can post the announcement right away, schedule it for later, or save it as a draft so you can edit it later. Just click on the down arrow next to the Post button
- Schedule is not available if you are posting to more than one class.
